This initiative is enabled by the Ecological Land Cooperative, who recently purchased the land from the Horrels family. The farm represents a dream come true, allowing us to cultivate flowers sustainably while contributing to the cooperative community. The name “Trelowen” is Cornish for “Place of Joy,” and this truly reflects our vision for the farm. Our Trelowen flower farm is not only about growing beautiful flowers but also creating a joyful and welcoming space for visitors, volunteers, and the local community. From selecting the best crops to planning floristry arrangements, every step is infused with care, creativity, and sustainability. As part of Orchard Park’s smallholding cluster, our Trelowen flower farm benefits from a supportive network of like-minded stewards. We work cooperatively, sharing knowledge, tools, and resources, which allows us to focus on permaculture principles such as Care for People, Care for Planet, and Fair Share.
