Trelowen Flower Farm: About Our Small-Scale Cut Flower Business

Trelowen Flower Farm: About Us
Trelowen flower farm is a small-scale cut flower and floristry business located at Orchard Park, part of a cluster of smallholdings enabled by the Ecological Land Cooperative. The land was recently purchased from the Horrels family, offering us the opportunity to cultivate flowers and foliage sustainably while fostering a strong connection with our local community.
The name “Trelowen” is Cornish for “Place of Joy,” and it perfectly reflects our vision for the farm. At Trelowen flower farm, we aim to create a joyful and abundant space where people, plants, and wildlife thrive together. Every aspect of our work — from planting and harvesting to arranging floristry bouquets — reflects our commitment to sustainability, care, and ecological stewardship.
As part of Orchard Park’s smallholding cluster, Trelowen flower farm benefits from collaboration with fellow stewards. We share knowledge, tools, and resources while supporting each other in implementing regenerative farming practices. This cooperative approach ensures that our farm remains resilient, productive, and deeply connected to the surrounding community.
Our flower farm integrates organic and permaculture principles. At Trelowen flower farm, we focus on soil health, biodiversity, and responsible cultivation techniques. By prioritizing sustainable growing methods, we ensure that every stem we produce is of the highest quality, while minimizing environmental impact.
Beyond growing flowers, Trelowen flower farm serves as an educational and inspirational space. We welcome volunteers, visitors, and florists to experience the farm, learn about regenerative practices, and appreciate the beauty of working with nature. Through workshops, tours, and community events, we share our knowledge and passion for ethical flower farming.
Our journal documents the journey of Trelowen flower farm, from land preparation to harvest, floristry, and community engagement. By sharing our story, we hope to inspire others to embrace sustainable, small-scale farming and create spaces of joy and abundance wherever they grow.
